Road Trip: A Creative Adventure Across America Pack your imagination—we're hitting the road! In Road Trip, young artists will travel across the United States without ever leaving the art studio. Along the way, they'll discover famous landmarks, learn fun facts about each destination, and create beautiful mixed-media artwork inspired by the places they visit. Our adventure begins by designing a colorful mixed-media road trip scene, where students create a car heading toward the horizon, ready for an unforgettable journey. Then we'll make stops at three exciting destinations: New York – Create a vibrant Statue of Liberty artwork while learning about New York City, immigration, and one of America's most recognizable landmarks. Arizona – Explore the beauty of the Grand Canyon, using layered landscapes, watercolor, and texture techniques while discovering how this incredible natural wonder was formed. Florida – Dive beneath the waves to create a colorful coral reef and sea turtle mixed-media masterpiece while learning about the Florida Keys, marine life, and the importance of protecting our oceans. Throughout the course, students will explore a variety of artistic techniques, including mixed media, watercolor, oil pastels, collage, and texture, while building skills in composition, color, layering, and creative expression. Each destination also includes engaging educational content that integrates geography, history, science, and reading comprehension, making learning both meaningful and memorable.
